TESTACORVO

Privacy Policy

Effective September 4, 2026 · Published by Cain Consolidated LLC

The short version: TESTACORVO collects no personal information about you. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no tracking, no advertising, and no analytics. Your collection stays yours. One feature, the weather, sends an approximate location off your device when you ask it to, and we explain exactly what that means below.

Information we do not collect

We run no servers that hold anything about you. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not collect or store it ourselves. TESTACORVO has no user accounts and asks for no name, email address, or payment details. We do not use advertising identifiers, analytics services, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing tools, and we embed no third-party code that collects data about you. The single exception to anything leaving your device is the weather feature, described below.

The weather feature, and the one thing that leaves your device

TESTACORVO can show you the weather, use it to suggest what to wear today, and stamp the country you are in into your Passport. To do that it needs to know roughly where you are.

When you use that feature, your device asks iOS for your location, and iOS asks your permission first. TESTACORVO then rounds that location to two decimal places, which is an area of roughly one kilometre, and sends only the rounded figure to two services:

  • Open-Meteo returns the current temperature and conditions for that area.
  • BigDataCloud turns the rounded coordinates into a place name and a country code, which is what your Passport stamp records.

We never receive it. That request goes from your device straight to those two services and never passes through us. We keep no copy, because we have nowhere to keep one. The place name and country code that come back are stored on your device alongside the rest of your collection.

Your device may also report how fast you are moving and how high you are, and the app records the highest figures it has seen so it can award travel milestones. Those never leave your device.

If you never use the weather feature, no location ever leaves your device. You can also refuse or withdraw the permission at any time in iOS Settings, and the rest of the app works exactly as before.

Where your data lives

Everything you create in TESTACORVO — your collection, wishlist, notes, settings, and progress — is stored on your own device.

  • iCloud sync. If you are signed in to iCloud, the app can mirror your data into your own private iCloud database so it follows you to your other Apple devices. This uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). The data sits in your personal iCloud account under your Apple ID — we cannot see it, read it, or access it. It is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn this off in iOS Settings at any time.
  • Notifications. Any reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. We operate no notification server and hold no device tokens.

Content the app loads

To show occasional horology news and articles, the app may fetch read-only content from our service. These requests carry no personal information. As with any internet request, our hosting provider may process standard technical details such as your IP address transiently in server logs to deliver the content and keep the service secure; this is not used to identify you and is not combined with any profile.

Children's privacy

TESTACORVO gathers no personal information from anyone, so it gathers none from children. There is no account, no name, no email address, and nothing that identifies a person. The weather feature described above sends an approximate location, rounded to about a kilometre, and it is never tied to a name or an account because the app holds neither. The app is suitable for all ages.

Your choices

Your data is under your control. You can turn off iCloud sync in iOS Settings, and you can remove all of the app's data at any time by deleting the app from your device. Because we hold nothing about you on our side, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected before they take effect.
